I have had sensitive skin for years and needed a product to have few if any chemicals on the fabric. Love my comforter (thought it was white, but really an off white creamy color - actually easier to care for). Didn't buy the pillows because I love my current ones.
This luxury comforter combines organic cotton with responsibly sourced down for an amazing night's sleep. No harsh chemical treatments are used, so you can enjoy the natural feel of crisp unbleached, down-proof 230 thread count organic cotton; paired with hypoallergenic down in a year-round weight that is RDS certified. Matching pillow also available.
The Responsible Down Standard safeguards the welfare of waterfowl that provide down and feathers for the products we all love.

New couple starts the long trek of blending our lives and households into one home. He sleeps cold and likes a weighty cover. (He has grown up sleeping under two or three blankets, one of which had a faux-sheepskin side!) I sleep hot and love the weightless whipped-cream warmth of a good down comforter in the winter, and just an empty duvet cover draped over top the rest of the year. An RDS down comforter a must for our consciences. This was the best deal ever! A little heavier than my sateen-covered down comforter, heavy enough to make him feel like he was sleeping under something substantial, but not as much fill as to make me feel suffocated. The cotton cover is pretty noisy compared to a sateen cover (we have it in a Belgian linen duvet cover from West Elm), but I suspect a couple of washes will take care of that. If not, we can deal with it; so much better than one of us suffering a bad night's sleep for the sake of the other! I'll probably suggest going to my higher fill (but smaller) down comforter with a quilt in the winter, but for the rest of the year, this was a great deal. (My duvet cover is cut down a few inches from a king duvet to cover a queen bed to the frame bottom, and this is a little but not too big for that.) As for the matching pillows...you should have seen the smile that grew on my stomach sleeper's face when he went face down on top of the plump and shapely down pillows and they instantly went all squishy and scrummy! He LOVES them, and he's very picky about his pillows. :) We'll definitely be buying an entire set of the pillows in the near future!
